CONTEST RULES
Contest Name: The Domi Awards (the “Contest”)
The Domi Awards event partners (hereinafter the “Committee”), will conduct the Contest substantially as described herein, and by participating in the Contest, each person or entity so participating (hereinafter “Participant”) agrees to be bound by the following rules, terms, and conditions:
1. DESCRIPTION OF CONTEST/PARTICIPATION
a. How to Enter: NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE ODDS OF WINNING. Odds of winning vary greatly depending on number of entrants. Void where prohibited. Deadline for registration is when the contest ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on the last day of nomination submissions. One entry per person, per category, with a maximum of two (2) categories per person.
b. How To Play: Winner(s) will be the Participant that is selected by the Committee for each category. The winner(s) will be announced at the Domi Awards Gala.
2. PRIZE(S)/TROPHY
A Domi Award trophy may be awarded to the winners from each category. For a list of categories, please see the nomination section at www.domistation.com/domiawards.
If a category winner is disqualified, the Committee, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or to choose not to award a winner in that category.
3. PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY AND LIMITATIONS
Participant nominees must be an entrepreneur in Tallahassee or its surrounding areas.
The Committee will not be responsible for entries which may be damaged, lost, improperly addressed, or which are not received when transmitted.
The Committee’s determination of winners is final as to all awards. The Committee will not be obliged to justify their decisions or to respond to any inquiries. In addition, the Committee may disqualify a Participant for violation of the rules, standards and limitations.
A company or user may request a particular person or entity be entered as a Participant at any time. Participants will be entered at the sole discretion of the Committee.
Participants may be nominated in no more than two (2) categories, subject to eligibility criteria.
Participants may nominate themselves.
A Participant is not eligible to win the same award category more than once in successive years.
A Participant may request removal from The Domi Awards at any point in time. The request must be emailed to getstarted@domistation.com.
4. TELEPHONE AND DELIVERY DISCLAIMER
Participants are restricted to the use of ordinary and typical computer equipment and Internet access. The Committee disclaims all liability for the inability of a Participant to complete or continue an entry due to equipment malfunction, inadvertent disconnections, acts beyond the Committee’s control, or otherwise. The Committee disclaims any liability for entries not received due to technical difficulties or transmission errors. The Committee disclaims all liability for any delays, misdelivery, loss, or failure in the delivery of any item, correspondence or communication sent by mail, courier, email, electronic/text transmission, or other delivery method. The Committee is not responsible for mechanical, technical, electronic, communications, telephone, computer, hardware or software errors, malfunctions or failures of any kind, including: failed, incomplete or delayed transmission of online entries, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit an online entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest, and any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any information necessary to participate in the Contest.
5. PUBLICITY
By participating, where allowed by law, all Participants and winner(s) grant the Committee permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this Contest and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use.
6. RELEASE
By participating in this Contest, each Participant and winner waives any and all claims of liability against the Committee, its officers, directors, members, managers, employees and agents, the Contest’s sponsors and their respective officers, directors, members, managers, employees, agents, attorneys and insurers, the Contest’s sponsors and their respective officers, directors, members, managers, employee agents, attorneys and expressly waives claims for any and all damages, injury or loss of any kind, including without limitation, damage, injury or loss to reputation and profits as well as any consequential damages, which may arise or occur from the conduct of, or participation in, or in any way related to the Contest, or from the use of any trophy or certificate.
7. CONDUCT AND DECISIONS
By participating in the Contest, Participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Committee personnel. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, unprofessional, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The Committee, in its sole discretion, shall have the exclusive right to interpret and apply these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest, and the Committee’s decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the Committee, the Committee reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as the Committee deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by the Committee and are final. The Committee may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, IMPROPERLY INFLUENCE THE OUTCOME OF, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITE, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF APPLICABLE LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK LEGAL REMEDIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES, FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. MISCELLANEOUS
The Committee may substitute prizes, amend the rules or discontinue the Contest at any time, and updates related thereto may be included on the website. The Committee disclaims any responsibility to notify participants of any aspect related to the conduct of the Contest. For a copy of the rules, or where required by law, a list of winners, please send your request via email to getstarted@domistation.com.
All entries shall become the property of the Committee, and will not be returned. To be removed from our direct mail or email lists send your request to getstarted@domistation.com.
9. COMPLIANCE WITH LAW
The conduct of the Contest shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, notwithstanding the location of any Participant’s residence, main office or headquarters.
